Morning Yoga

This morning’s yoga was wonderful. It felt so great to be out from behind my desk and movin’ my body the way it wanted to. I put on the Al Green CD, Lay It Down. It was released this past year and is wonderful! He also does duets with some of my faves on this album: Corrine Bailey Rae and John Legend. Something about it just moves my soul. Corny, I know, but hey it makes me feel good! I was on my mat for about an hour and enjoyed every minute. I encourage you to put some music you love on today and see where it takes you. If you practice yoga, maybe you feel the desire to do certain poses. If you don’t, maybe you want to dance or just move! Do it, enjoy it, and don’t care what anyone else thinks.

This morning’s breakfast was just as yummy as yoga. More Hot Date Oats.

-1/2 cup oats

– lots of cinnamon

– 2 chopped medjool dates

– maple syrup

– 4 chocolate chips (chocolate before noon…does that mean I have a problem?)

– BIG spoon of Barney Butter

Dates are definitely not attractive but they sure are good in hot oats. I am down to my last two!

I got this picture in an email from my dad last night. That’s my daughter dog in her spot on the couch. Usually she props her arms up on the arm rest and sits just like a person. My mom is convinced that Raleigh is her grandmother reincarnated. Weird, I know, but she is just so human!
