The Attach of the Cereal Monster

This afternoon I ran ALL over town getting things prepared for our conference this weekend. Since I am the Vice Prezzz, I had to get a bunch of documents pulled together and run to Sam’s Club for some snacks and such. It almost made me sad walking through the aisles at Sam’s and seeing all of the canned, processed and artificial food that fills their shelves. It makes me sad that healthy, nutritious food isn’t more affordable and accessible. Does anyone else get that feeling?

I got back around 4pm and was ready for a snack. That’s when the cereal monster struck again. Yep, you guessed it. More cereal. I tried the Newman’s Own Sweet Enough Cereal that I posted about yesterday. It was DELICIOUS topped with half a cold ‘naner (Thanks for that one, Polly!). I went on the Newman’s Own website and they have a coupon available for $1 off. I highly recommend it!

It was good. I could eat cereal all day. Ok, well I guess that was obvious.

I had plans to have some Curried Organic Butternut Squash soup that I made at home a few weekends ago and froze but I ended up walked downstairs to socialize with the dinner peeps. I had a bowl of steamed mixed veggies. I really wasn’t too hungry for a real meal but…there is always room for dessert.

These are “monster” cookies according to our cooks. My fellow food loving friend (oh, heyyy gurl) and I justified this soft, chewy cookie since one of the ingredients is oats. Chocolate for antioxidants, Oats for heart health. Right? I dunked this yumminess in some Publix brand vanilla soymilk. Again, not my favorite brand but it does the job!

Definitely not the most nutritious “meal” but we all have our days! I am currently munching on…you guessed it, more cereal! This sweet enough stuff is rullllll good. Try it!

Usually I would be packed by now for a weekend trip but I haven’t quite started yet. YIKES! Tomorrow is going to be a busy day! We are hitting the road at 4pm. I will definitely “see” you guys before then.
